Frequently Asked Questions

What is a QR code?
A QR (Quick Response) code is a two-dimensional barcode that can store various types of information like URLs, text, contact details, and more. They can be scanned using smartphone cameras to quickly access the encoded information.
Can I add a logo without affecting scannability?
Yes! QR codes have built-in error correction. As long as your logo doesn't cover more than 20-30% of the code area, it will remain scannable. Our generator automatically positions the logo optimally.
What's the difference between PNG and SVG formats?
PNG is a raster format best for digital use (websites, presentations). SVG is a vector format that can be scaled infinitely without quality loss, making it ideal for print materials and large displays.
What size should I use for printing?
For business cards, use at least 800x800 pixels. For posters and banners, use 1000x1000 or higher. For best print quality, download as SVG which can be scaled to any size.
How do I create a business card QR code?
Switch to the "Business Card" tab, fill in your contact information (name, phone, email, etc.), customize the design, and generate. The QR code will create a vCard that can be saved directly to contacts when scanned.
Are the QR codes permanent?
Yes, these are static QR codes. Once generated, the information is permanently encoded in the QR code image. However, you can generate a new QR code anytime if you need to update information.
What colors work best for QR codes?
High contrast is essential for scannability. Use dark colors (like black, dark blue) for the dots and light colors (white, light gray) for the background. Avoid light-on-light or dark-on-dark combinations.
